Garden Party

Garden Party is a new series of small paintings created as a direct criticism of the U.S. government's blatant profiteering of modern warfare. Each piece features a grenade adorned with a single flower, contrasting symbols of growth and destruction. Similar to high-society garden parties elites use for networking within their own community, the series simplifies how political powers turn violence into a spectacle and a profitable venture packaged for public consumption. This sharp commentary challenges viewers to confront the reality behind the media’s polished images of war versus the personal sacrifices of those serving our country. Each piece is titled and numbered as a single Pineapple military slang for a hand grenade.
